Bradford J. Holmberg is the board certified veterinary ophthalmologist at the Animal Eye Center of New Jersey. He graduated summa cum laude with his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri in 2001. He then completed a small animal internship at the University of Florida before pursuing a comparative ophthalmology residency at the University of California-Davis. In addition, Dr. Holmberg received his Master of Science degree in neuroscience from Purdue University in 1996 and his Doctorate of Philosophy with a concentration in neuroendocrinology from the University of Missouri in 2002. He has been a board-certified Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists since 2005. His clinical interests include exotic animal ophthalmology and all aspects of ophthalmic surgery, in particular corneal surgery.
Dr. Holmberg has extensive training in both basic and applied research. He has published over 10 peer reviewed manuscripts, contributed chapters to several renowned veterinary textbooks, received prestigious research grants, serves on review boards for numerous veterinary journals, and provides continuing education lectures for veterinarians, veterinary students, and veterinary technicians throughout the United States.
He is an active member of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists where he has served on the Examination Committee and has been a board member for the Vision for Animals Foundation.
Outside of work, Dr. Holmberg enjoys spending time with his family and playing ice hockey.
