Dr. Ruth Barrow is originally from Athens, Georgia. She attended the University of Georgia for her Bachelor's in Cellular Biology. During her undergraduate studies, Dr. Barrow was involved in research investigating stem cell therapies and novel bone imaging techniques for metabolic bone diseases. 

She graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020. During veterinary school, Dr. Barrow was involved in toxoplasmosis research. Following veterinary school, she completed my Small Animal Medicine and Surgery Rotating Internship at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine. 

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Barrow enjoys trying new restaurants with her friends, any and all outside activities related to water, and binging a good TV show! She grew up on a farm with many different animals, but currently has one cat named Khaleesi. 

Dr. Barrow is very excited to be focusing this year on veterinary Ophthalmology, a veterinary specialty that she loves so much due to its wonderful impact on improving the lives of animals and owners, as well as the many opportunities to form meaningful and long-term relationships with pet owners!
